Are you Thomas’ biggest fan?

Take a CrossCountry train to meet the fat controller!

If you’re familiar with the Fat Controller and know your Annie from your Clarabel, you could win a real life rail adventure to Thomas Land, which has just opened at Drayton Manor Theme Park in Staffordshire.

We’re asking children who consider themselves the most devoted follower of Thomas the Tank Engine to write a short passage about what makes them the UK’s biggest Thomas fan. The lucky winner will receive a real-life train adventure including a first class CrossCountry return rail ticket to Tamworth station and free entry into Drayton Manor Theme Park, home of Thomas Land.

The £5m attraction, which opened in March, features 12 Thomas & Friends themed rides, a large indoor play arena, an outdoor play area, as well as a huge shop and café.

Andy Cooper, managing director of CrossCountry said:

Many of our younger passengers are fascinated by trains and train travel, and are particularly fond of Thomas the Tank Engine. We would like to give Thomas fans who haven’t yet experienced the excitement of a real-life train journey the chance to do so as they make their trip to see their favourite character at Thomas Land at Drayton Manor Theme Park.

Colin Bryan, Managing Director of Drayton Manor added:

Thomas Land is an attraction that authentically replicates Sodor and is the ideal destination for the legion of Thomas fans.

Any child who would like to enter the appeal to find Thomas’ biggest fan should write a short passage of why they think they deserve the real life rail adventure and send it to . The closing date for entries is 30th April.

Terms and conditions:

  • Entrants must be 11 years of age or under
  • The winner will be chosen by a panel of judges, made up of representatives from CrossCountry and Drayton Manor Theme Park
