Safety documents

Welcome to the CrossCountry Safety Procedures & Standards.

CrossCountry is focused on safe operations being of the highest priority. From 11th November 2007, CrossCountry are accountable for the procedures that pass over from VXC and CT. As good safety practice has been found to be in place and working successfully across both VXC and CT operations, only minor changes have been made to these Safety Management System and the associated Procedures/Standards.

This website contains the Policies, Procedures/Standards and Working Instructions which form the CrossCountry interim Safety Management System for Day One of Operations. It is important to note that, with the exception of the CrossCountry policy documents, all procedures have been re-branded as CrossCountry procedures but retain their previous VXC and CT document reference and version numbers.

Four new CrossCountry Policies are in place.

The VXC and Central Trains procedures/standards are presented in a structure that should be familiar to you.
