Ticket Types
Your journey starts as soon as you buy your ticket.
So, it’s important that you set off on the right foot with the right ticket; one that suits your budget and fits in with the times that you want to travel.
Buying your ticket before you travel not only saves you time, it gives you access to the full range of our fares and discounts. There are a number of ways you can buy your ticket, at most rail stations, travel agents and via the internet or by phone.
It’s worth noting that when you buy your ticket on board a train only the full First or Standard Class fares are available, and a railcard discount won’t apply if you had the opportunity to buy a valid ticket or permit prior to boarding.
Other ticket types may be available for your journey from other train operators, and some CrossCountry tickets will not be valid on services provided by other operators. For further information please check at any station or by contacting the Train Company concerned directly.
For group bookings (10 or more passengers) please contact our group sales line on 0871 244 2388 or visit a Rail Appointed Travel Agent.
