Choose your train and fare

Once you have specified your journey, you should choose your train time and fare. Our easy to use results shows you train times and fares straight away.

Select your own seat on CrossCountry journeys 

If you are travelling on CrossCountry services you can review and change your seating options by clicking on your specified seat and then using our seat plan to select your own seat.

You can select to sit near your luggage, near a window, at a table, near a power socket etc.

Print your tickets at home or work with no queuing!

If you're buying CrossCountry, Grand Central or Virgin Trains Advance tickets one of the delivery options you can choose is an e-ticket. Select this option and you can print off your own tickets at work or home, saving you time and hassle. You will receive a separate e-mail with a link to your ticket. You should print out your ticket and take it with you when you travel.

Now when you select an e-ticket you can choose an alternative form of ID instead of only the payment card used for purchase. You now have the option of choosing another credit or debit card, photo driving license or passport. You will be asked to enter the name printed on the ID and the last four characters of the ID reference. So, whether you're booking for yourself or someone else you can select the most appropriate method of ID. The selected form of ID must be brought along with your printed out e-ticket on your journey.
