London Art Galleries

Art galleries are always popular cultural destinations, and nowhere does art galleries better than London. Both Tate Britain and Tate Modern are located in the city, and both offer late night opening as well as educational days out. For art lovers, the London Tate galleries are a must-see. If travelling by train to London, you can reach the Tate Modern via Blackfriars train station, which is 800 metres away. To get to Tate Britain, Vauxhall train station is again 800 metres away.

EDF Energy London Eye

No trip to London is complete without a ride on this world-famous big wheel. Get a bird's eye view of the Houses of Parliament and many other London landmarks as you slowly take a trip around the Eye. It's romantic yet great fun for everyone, especially families. Situated on the South Bank of the River Thames, the Eye is easily accessible from Waterloo station, which is around a five minute walk away.

West End

For a true cultural experience, the West End will surpass all expectations. With shows including Grease, The Lion King, Chicago, Thriller and Blood Brothers, there's something to please all tastes. The venues themselves, including the Lyric Theatre, are also cultural icons that add to the West End's charm. Piccadilly Circus tube station is located in the heart of the West End, making it easily accessible by train and underground.

Dover Street Market

Offering a retail and gallery experience with a difference, Dover Street Market is a must for shopaholics and anyone who appreciates fashion. The brainchild of Rei Kawakubo of Commes Des Garcons, this chic multiplex offers eclectic creations from designers like Alaia, Lanvin and Rodarte, alongside Kawakubo's own signature collections but you don't have to buy anything to enjoy this market. The closest tube station is Green Park, which is only a short walk away.

There is a multitude of activities on offer when it comes to the Thames. From speed boat rides to leisurely lunch cruises, there is something to fit all moods and weather conditions.
