Recent storms in the South West have caused damage to parts of the track at Dawlish (between Exeter St Davids and Newton Abbot). In addition there is extensive flooding south of Bristol. Rail replacement bus services are currently running where trains are unable to be used. It is hoped that the line will re-open in early April 2014.
Special ticketing arrangements – From Monday 10 February to 31 May 2014 CrossCountry Advance tickets to/from Exeter will be valid for travel to any station west of Exeter for no additional cost.
