The RMT Union has announced industrial action by its members employed at First Great Western that, if the strike goes ahead, will significantly affect their train services on Saturday 29, Sunday 30 and Monday 31 August. A full CrossCountry service will be in operation on these dates and FGW customers can use their tickets on CrossCountry trains where available in the areas affected. Please check your journey with National Rail Enquires for further details.

Planned timetable changes

Check if there is any track improvement work that may affect your CrossCountry journey.

Network Rail is constantly maintaining and repairing railway tracks, signalling and stations. This sometimes means we have to alter our published timetables or put buses and coaches on to replace our train services.

When you plan your journey using the 'Find a train' panel above, the information you get back will take into account any changes to train times caused by track improvement work, including where rail replacement road transport is in operation.

Our weekly information provides details of any planned changes to CrossCountry services for a given week. Our monthly summary gives an at-a-glance overview of major changes for a calendar month.
