The popular and free real time app, which has seen almost 24,000 downloads in January alone, provides users with instant access to live train times for any UK rail journey, timetables and the innovative 'current position' feature which identifies their nearest station. Users can also store and save their regular or favourite rail routes.
iPhone users across the UK have widely praised the CrossCountry app with comments such as: "Works great, and saves me loads of time" ; "So easy to use and convenient and it's FREE" ; "how an app should be. Saves time, effort and money" and "Bravo cross country trains, great job."
CrossCountry's Managing Director, Andy Cooper said: "Our aim is to make train information available to as many people as possible - especially those on the move.
