The Golden Whistle was presented to CrossCountry in recognition of work done to reduce delays caused by our own actions, as opposed to those caused by Network Rail or other train operators, and for reducing the impact of any incident that occurs.
This marks the second consecutive year CrossCountry has been recognised as the best in the rail industry in this category, and follows our winning the Golden Spanner at the end of 2011 for our Voyagers being the most reliable intercity trains in Britain.
