The Bentham Line Community Rail Partnership (CRP) is passionate about the importance of encouraging and supporting young people to enjoy rail travel and use their railway safely.

It has delivered this aim to very positive effect through a unique Children's Activity Pack, a colourful I-spy, look and learn on board for young passengers aged up to 11 years. Most recently, using a grant of £2000 from the CrossCountry Community Engagement Fund, the CRP has redesigned the pack so it is also a comprehensive guide about using the railway.

The guide now includes information on changing trains, reading and understanding timetables and comparing local and long distance routes, all focusing on using the railway safely.

Pictured are local schoolchildren using their guide on a day out along the Leeds-Morecambe route
