If you’re travelling onwards, once you reach Newcastle you might want to try their excellent bus service. Buses in the city are run by Nexus buses and offer plentiful access to those going into and out of the city. However, the Arriva bus service also offers great service to surrounding towns in the North East.

If you’re looking for a shopping mall, you’re in luck: Newcastle is home to two of the largest in the UK, NewcastleGateshead and intu Eldon Square. Newcastle is also home to the original Fenwick department store.
Newcastle is a great place for live music and is home to some of the best venues in the country. Choose from Metro Radio Arena, the O2 Academy, or Sage Gateshead on the waterfront music. The city also boasts a plethora of art galleries, as well as some amazing theatres such as the Theatre Royal. Of course, the city is famous for its legendary night life, so make use of the opportunity to have a fun night out on the town!
