To Manchester : Step free access from the car park up slight incline through a 3ft wide gate onto the platform. To Southport : Down a path (150 paces) from Appley Lane North to the right of the bridge and onto the platform. The path is level for the most part but slopes at 1:10 towards the platform. To change platforms requires 300 metre walk over footbridge.
