There is a waiting room located in the station building on Platform 1 (for trains towards London). The waiting room on Platform 2 (for trains towards Chelmsford and Colchester) is located in the station building opposite the ticket office, and is accessed from the booking hall.
The male and the female toilets are located next to the bottom of the footbridge steps on Platform 1 (for trains towards London), and next to the side entrance to the station on Platform 2 (for trains towards Chelmsford and Colchester). An accessible toilet is available for radar key holders and can be accessed via the waiting room on Platform 1. All toilets at this station are scheduled to be open at the following times:

This station has step free access to both platforms but from different locations on Station Lane / Hall Lane, with approximately 350 metres between the entrances to each platform via the roadside. There is a stepped footbridge between the platforms. Platform 1 (for trains towards London) is accessible via the access road off Hall Lane, just beyond the level crossing, and Platform 2 (for trains towards Chelmsford and Colchester) is accessible from the station car park.
