Bristol Parkway Saturday 15 September – Saturday 6 October 2018
Work will be undertaken to install electrification equipment including overhead power lines in the Bristol Parkway area.
Filton Abbey Wood Saturday 27 October – Sunday 18 November 2018
We are doubling the tracks from Filton Abbey Wood station to Bristol Temple Meads station, from two tracks to four. This will increase the reliability of journeys and enable more services to run from 2019.
An amended timetable will be in operation during these dates.
From Saturday 15 September – Saturday 6 October 2018, trains will divert via an alternative route not calling at Bristol Parkway but will additionally at Gloucester, Newport and Patchway. Journey times will be extended by one hour. An hourly rail service will operate between Bristol Temple Meads – Birmingham New Street. Rail replacement road transport will operate between Patchway and Bristol Parkway.
From Saturday 27 October – Sunday 18 November trains will divert via an alternative route and not call at Bristol Parkway. Journey times will be extended by one hour. An hourly rail service will operate between Bristol Temple Meads - Birmingham New Street. Rail replacement road transport will operate between:
