    Description

    A broken down train between Glasgow Central and Motherwell means some lines are blocked. Train services running between these station may be cancelled or dleyed by up to 30 minutes.

    Disruption is expected until 14:00.

    Amended service in the Motherwell area on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May

    All routes through Motherwell

    Description

    Engineering work is taking place between Glasgow Central and Motherwell, closing some lines.

    Caledonian Sleeper:

    On Sunday 5 May, the Glasgow Central to London Kings Cross service is diverted via Holytown and will be unable to call at Motherwell. Please note, due to works at London Euston, Sleeper services will be diverted to / from London Kings Cross.

    CrossCountry:

    CrossCountry services to / from Glasgow Central will be diverted and unable to call at Motherwell. Customers may use alternative services between Glasgow Central and Motherwell.

    London North Eastern Railway:

    Services to / from Glasgow Central will not run between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Customers should use ScotRail services between Glasgow Central and Motherwell and replacement buses will run between Motherwell and Edinburgh.

    ScotRail:

    Services between Glasgow Central and Lanark will be diverted via Holytown. Buses will run between Bellshill and Wishaw calling at Motherwell and Shieldmuir.

    Services between Glasgow Central and Motherwell will not run. Customers are advised to take services between Glasgow Central and Lanark, and change at Bellshill for a bus connection to Motherwell.

    Services between Ayr and Edinburgh / North Berwick via Motherwell are diverted via Holytown, not calling at Motherwell. Customers should use replacement buses between Wishaw and Motherwell.

    Services between Balloch / Dalmuir and Motherwell via Whifflet will be replaced by buses between Whifflet and Motherwell.

    TransPennine Express:

    Due to engineering work in the Preston area, buses will replace trains between Preston and Edinburgh on Saturday and Sunday. Customers should use Virgin Trains replacement buses between Preston and Glasgow Central.

    On Monday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Edinburgh. Customers should use Virgin Trains replacement buses between Carlisle and Glasgow Central.

    Virgin Trains:

    Due to engineering work in the Preston area, buses will replace trains between Preston and Glasgow Central on Saturday and Sunday. Customers should use TransPennine Express replacement buses between Preston and Edinburgh.

    On Monday, buses will replace trains between Carlisle and Glasgow Central. Customers should use TransPennine Express replacement buses between Carlisle and Edinburgh.
