If you need to work on the move or just want to relax and watch the world go by, why not travel First Class with us.
Travelling First Class you can enjoy larger, reclining seats, more table space and a calm environment. Plus, on many services, enjoy a range of complimentary food and drink served to you at your seat by your First Class Host.
Travelling First Class needn't be expensive - we offer great value fares when you book in advance.
If you're planning last minute, you can also save money by travelling on a First Class Off-Peak ticket. These tickets give you the flexibility to buy them online up to 2 hours before you travel.
If spontaneity is more your thing, then First Anytime tickets are also available - letting you travel at whatever time suits you.
At weekends you can also upgrade to First Class for as little as £10 one-way on many services - now available to buy online.
Something to eat or drink?
To help you make the most of your First Class experience, we offer a variety of complimentary food and drinks.
Our First Class menu is available 06.00 to 20.00, Monday - Friday, on services between Birmingham New Street and:
> Bristol Temple Meads / Plymouth
> Manchester Piccadilly
> Newcastle / Edinburgh
> Reading / Bournemouth
Breakfast, lunch or afternoon, you're assured of a delicious treat made with the best ingredients, plus we always offer vegetarian options.
To start the day, choose from breakfast snacks including bacon roll, scrambled egg and tomato panini, and porridge.
Our daytime range includes Shepherd's Pie, Spinach and Ricotta Tortellini, and Ham Salad Sandwich.

Throughout the day we also offer light bites including a selection of biscuits, crisps, Walkers Fruit Cake, as well as a variety of complimentary hot and cold drinks for you to enjoy:
- Starbucks Coffee
- Fairtrade tea and a selection of fruit and herbal tea
- Hot chocolate
- Coca-Cola, Diet Coke and Schweppes lemonade
- Orange juice
- Still or sparkling water
Should you wish to purchase any other items, including beer, cider or wine, please ask your First Class Host, who will be happy to help you.
We also offer complimentary tea, coffee, still water and biscuits on most of our Turbostar services between:

> Peterborough - Birmingham, 08.52 - 18.52, Monday to Saturday
> Birmingham - Peterborough, 11.22 - 15.22, Sundays

Please note:
- Our catering facilities, including complimentary First Class refreshments, are not available between Plymouth and Penzance (except on those trains to / from Newquay), or between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central, Dundee and Aberdeen.
- For those journeys where there is not a dedicated First Class Host, and there is a full at-seat service on the train, this will continue through to First Class - please listen for announcements.
- On those services between Nottingham and Cardiff and between Birmingham and Leicester and Stansted Airport where there is a full at-seat service, this will continue through to First Class - please listen for announcements.
- Menus do not apply at weekends or on Bank Holidays. On weekend and Bank Holiday services, complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits will be provided by an at-seat service.
- Alcoholic drinks sold and served to over-18s only.
