CrossCountry has announced the secondment of John Robson to Regional Director for East Midlands & East Anglia in a bid to further strengthen the regional leadership team and reflect the current business and industry priorities.

John moves from his current role as Regional Director for West Midlands and North West, which is being filled by Nick Chadwick, previously Regional Driver Manager for the West Midlands and North West.

As Regional Directors, John and Nick will take full responsibility for the operational and financial performance of the region.
John has over 30 years’ experience in the rail industry, having assumed numerous operational roles for West Midlands Trains and Virgin Trains as well as having delivered successful projects in rail consultancies before joining CrossCountry in May 2020 as Regional Director for West Midlands and North West.

Nick also has extensive experience in the rail industry, having held numerous operational roles including Head of Drivers. Nick has been committed to implementing change to benefit both the business and employees, which complements his vast operational experience.

Mark Goodall, Service Delivery Director at CrossCountry said: “These appointments will help us further strengthen our relationships with stakeholders in the region and support our regional teams so that we not only meet but exceed our customers’ expectations.”

On his appointment Nick added: “I’m looking forward to building on the strong relationships John has already fostered as well as forging new ones. It is a great opportunity for me to expand my knowledge in other areas, building upon my strong operational experience.”

John said: “The challenges that CrossCountry faces differ from region to region. I am looking forward to getting to know the East Midlands and East Anglia region in more depth to ensure that we deliver a robust and customer-centric service.”
