Purchase online through the Railcard website (linked below) to receive a download code for adding your card to the app, or allow up to 10 days for delivery by post.

How to Use a 16-17 Saver Railcard
- You can apply your 16-17 Saver Railcard to your ticket on the CrossCountry app, online, at ticket machines, or ticket booths.
- When booking a journey online or through the CrossCountry app, simply select the 16-17 Railcard option, and your savings will be applied instantly.
- If buying a ticket at a machine or with a ticket attendant, select the relevant option or ask the attendant to apply it.
- Be sure to have your Railcard on hand whenever you travel, as you may be asked to show it.
How to Use a 16-17 Saver Railcard with a Season Ticket
Your Railcard can be used to get 50% off the price of a Season Ticket or Flexi Season Ticket. Please note, however, that you cannot use the Railcard as a substitute photocard for a paper Season Ticket. Instead, bring a passport-style photo to any National Rail ticket office, and they’ll issue a paper Season Ticket for you. When travelling, you’ll need to carry both your 16-17 Saver Railcard and the paper Season Ticket.
If you are buying an s-Ticket, you will not need a separate Photocard to validate your Season ticket.
