Training season: train company donates £250 to young runners’ campaign
Two young fundraisers from Bridlington, East Yorkshire, are celebrating a £250 donation from long distance train operator CrossCountry.

Bishop Line Community Rail Partnership have recently recruited Jess Young as their Rail Education Officer.
Jess will be working with students in schools and colleges between Bishop Auckland and Darlington promoting the importance of keeping safe while near or using the railway. She has already started coordinating workstreams with Network Rail to ensure the industry approach is joined up and targeted.
Speaking about her appointment, Jess said: “I’m really excited to be joining the Bishop Line CRP and looking forward to supporting the vitally important work being done to keep young people safe around the railway.”
Jess’ post has been joint funded by CrossCountry’s Community Engagement Fund, Community Rail Network and the Bishop Line CRP.
