Due to significant disruption on GWR, TransPennine Express & LNER services, our services are expected to be busier than usual today. All our services will continue to operate as planned. We are doing everything we can to accommodate passengers. Additional services have been put in place to support GWR on 10 May. Please see here for details.

Food & drink update

The safety of our customers and colleagues is our top priority so things will look a little differently, to begin with.

Here is what to expect on-board with us:

  • Catering will only be provided from a static location at one end of the train – for health & safety reasons, we won’t be coming through the train with the catering trolley for the time being.
  • On-board colleagues will make regular announcements to let customers know when and where to find our catering trolley.
  • We will be maintaining social distancing on-board where possible, taking steps to avoid queues for catering. Including taking sales on a coach by coach basis and only one customer at a time will be permitted in the vestibule where the catering trolley is located. There will be designated seating just outside this vestibule area which should be used if someone is being served for catering when you arrive.
  • The catering products available will be a reduced range of hot and cold soft drinks and snacks – full details can be found here.
  • Only contactless payments will be accepted. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to pay using chip and pin or cash.
  • Catering will be available on the majority of our trains but we aren’t currently able to offer a service on our Birmingham-Stansted and Nottingham – Cardiff routes.
