6VT Youth CRP is the UK’s only youth led Community Rail Partnership. Run by young people, they organise a variety of community activities and events which promote safe use of the railway, support inclusion and connect communities in and around Edinburgh. They now want raise awareness of the partnership not just in Scotland, but across the UK.
To support their goals for 2023, CrossCountry have funded a range of publicity materials to promote the CRP. These can be used at upcoming events to let people know how to get in touch, what they do and how to get involved.
The team researched and gathered information on what youth-friendly products they would like to use, as well as working on banner designs and promotional cards. Thanks to CrossCountry’s funding they are now fully kitted out and looking the part in their branded hoodies, ready to engage more members of the public and especially other young people.
David Paterson chair of the youth CRP commented “By raising awareness of our youth CRP and its initiatives we can highlight the positive contribution that young people are making to the rail network, not just in our local communities in and around Edinburgh but also further afield. Our goal is to encourage young people and members of the public to think about using the railways safely and the environmental benefits of rail as a sustainable method of transport”.
