North Staffs Community Rail Partnership (NSCRP) have refreshed their website and created a promotional film for their lines using the CrossCountry Community Engagement Fund.
The new NSCRP website is now less text heavy, easier to use, and meets accessibility requirements. It allows visitors to navigate between sections quickly and easily, in an intuitive and engaging way.
The focus is on tourism and days out from stations in North Staffordshire. The starting point for searches is a map of the route showing how the stations relate to each other. Rails to Trails walking maps are linked to Google Maps, allowing visitors to see the routes from their mobile phones encouraging people to travel by train.
Claire Sandys, NSCRP Community Rail Officer said, “We are grateful that we could use funding from CrossCountry and Community Rail Network to bring our website up to date and it to be a hub for things to do in North Staffordshire, and the partnership’s projects as well as showcasing our great volunteers.”
There has been overwhelming positive feedback from stakeholders and local station adopters. Visit the website here.
You’ll also find the new promotional film CrossCountry fully funded for the partnership which raises awareness of local services, local community facilities, and visitor attractions.
Five short exerts will also showcase shopping, rail cards, rail to trails station walks, station volunteers, and sightseeing in the area and will be used on NSCRP’s social media platforms.
