On 19 April Interim Regional Director East Midlands & East Anglia, Clare Shaw, ceremoniously presented a grant of £15,900 from our Customer & Communities Investment Fund to Derby based REACH Community Grocers to invest in their new Derby Pride Park based Community Shop and Community Hub.

Our funding will go towards a number of things needed before the planned opening in September, including new furniture for the Hub, new tills and front of shop counter, management training costs and setting up of the local produce supply chain. Clare said “CrossCountry is proud to be able to support REACH to deliver their aims to make a real difference for families and individuals who are struggling to put food on their tables in the face of today’s cost-of-living challenges.”

Also attending the cheque presentation (pictured) was David Jones, our Stakeholder Manager for the region, Daniel Singh, from our PMO team which oversees the delivery of our CCIF projects and Karina Martin, Head of Business & Social Innovation at REACH, along with two of her local team members.
