We were thrilled that our friends at the NRM in York were able to host our 2024 Community Conference, which was attended by delegates from 20 of the 28 Community Rail Partnerships (CRPs) CrossCountry supports.
Key speakers included our Fleet & Engineering Director, Adrian Hugill, and Head of Customer Experience, Phil Whitehead, who gave very informative presentations about our exciting plans to transform our Voyager and Turbostar train fleets to deliver a greatly improved journey experience for our customers by the end of 2026.
Our Community Partners also heard from our Stakeholder Liaison Managers about the type of projects we would especially like to work collaboratively with them on to deliver great social outcomes and community benefits in the year ahead, including projects that involve young people and others that deliver integrated and sustainable whole-journey transport solutions.
During breaks, delegates were able to add their own 'stitches' to the fabulous Scottish history tapestry being created by Borders CRP, which will eventually be displayed at one of the stations on the Borders railway.
