On Thursday 21st April, Tom Birch, CrossCountry’s interim West and Wales Regional Director, joined members of Southeast Communities Rail Partnership to unveil a new mural we’ve helped sponsor at Guildford station.
Designed by local artist Julie Hoyle, the mural references people, places, and events in the town’s history. Funded jointly with Network Rail, the project aimed to create a more pleasant experience for people using the station underpass between platforms. Speaking at the unveiling, Tom said the project would “Help encourage more people to return to rail by making the station more welcoming”.
This project is one of many activities CrossCountry supports through our 25 community partners in England and Scotland each year, benefitting the stations and communities our trains serve.
