Network Rail will be carrying out major engineering work at Oxford station from Sunday 1 – Sunday 8 February 2026. The work will involve installing a replacement railway bridge over Botley Road as part of the development plans for Oxford station.
The bridge will enable an additional line to serve a new Platform 5 currently under construction as part of the Oxford Phase II expansion.
As well as the new western entrance, the replacement bridge will also benefit road users and pedestrians on the A420 Botley Road.
The work will take place over from Sunday 1 – Sunday 8 February 2026.
Rail replacement road transport will operate between Banbury, Oxford and Didcot Parkway. Online journey planners are showing correctly.
