Station Finder

The following major engineering work will take place on the CrossCountry network. The majority of engineering work takes place at weekends and Bank Holidays, details of which can be found in the Travel Updates section, however there are projects which will impact the train service on weekdays. These are detailed below.

Derby

Derby Station remains open throughout the work but customers travelling to, through and from Derby will experience some disruption and changes to their journey at different times during the work. Click here to see further details.

Saturday 27 October – Sunday 18 November 2018

Bristol

Network Rail will be upgrading the railway in and around the Bristol area. An amended timetable will be in operation during these dates. Click here to see further details. 

Oxford

Network Rail will be carrying out major track improvement work on the line between Banbury - Oxford - Didcot Parkway from Saturday 7 - Sunday 22 July 2018.

An amended timetable will be in operation from Saturday 7 - Sunday 22 July 2018.

Please be advised there will be very limited car parking spaces at Oxford station during the engineering works (approx. 150 spaces) which are available on a first come, first served basis. Additional parking for permit holders can be found at the following Park & Ride facilities:

  • Redbridge (OX1 4XG) – Bus number 300 stops on George Street, Oxford city centre
  • Pear Tree (OX2 8JZ) – Bus number 300 stops on George Street, Oxford city centre
  • Seacourt (OX2 0HP) – Bus number 400 stops in Frideswide Square, Oxford city centre
  • Water Eaton (OX2 8HA) – Bus number 500 stops next to Oxford station

Saturday 7 Sunday 15. Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 July 2018

Rail replacement road transport will operate between Banbury – Oxford – Didcot Parkway. On Sunday 8 July until 1300 rail replacement road transport will operate between Banbury – Oxford - Reading.

Monday 16 – Friday 20 July 2018

Rail replacement road transport will operate between Banbury and Oxford.
