Most CrossCountry trains have power sockets available for customers to charge phones, laptops and other electronic devices during their journey. The only trains which do not have power sockets are our unrefurbished Turbostar trains. There are currently 16 Turbostar trains awaiting refurbishment, with the Turbostar refurbishment programme expected to be completed by 2028. Turbostar trains typically operate on the following routes:

• Birmingham - Leicester - Stansted Airport
• Nottingham - Birmingham - Cardiff
