About the station

Wilmslow is a small market town and parish in Cheshire. Wilmslow Station was first opened in May 1842, providing routes into Stockport and Manchester. Modernisation of the railway saw electric tracks installed in 1959 and a project to improve the signalling on the line was completed in 2006. The station is also intended to be part of the High Speed 2 line between London Euston and Manchester Piccadilly.

Facilities at Wilmslow Railway Station include 120 spaces in the car park and 30 bicycle spaces which are opposite the main building. The station has CCTV coverage for security and toilets are available along with ample seating areas and refreshments.

Accessible facilities at Wilmslow Railway Station include four accessible car parking spaces. Customer help points are available, and an induction loop has been installed. The ticket machines and the ticket counter are both accessible and a ramp is available for train access at the station.
